No. 20 seed Janko was knocked out of the US Open on Thursday after retiring in a quarterfinal match against fellow Serbian and top seed Novak Djokovic. Djokovic was leading 7-6, 6-7, 6-0, 3-0 when Jankela retired after three and a half hours of play as he was unable to continue to complete the match.
